TITLE: Auto-Ex Team Captain
REPORTS TO: Auto Extrication Coordinator
TERM: Ongoing
REQUIRED PREREQUISITES / ASSETS / SKILLS:
o Good mechanical aptitude
o able to work well under stressful situations
o good leadership skills
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
o hazard analysis at or near incident to ensure safety of all responders.
o organizes duties at a task to ensure the safe removal of victim(s) under direction of RCMP and or Emergency Health Services.
o assist training coordinator by assessing training needs and organizing practices and scenarios relating to auto extrication.
o Attend practices and meetings as required.
o recommend equipment and vehicle repairs, upgrades, and replacements.
o ensure all vehicle logs, task reports are completed.
o act as the sole radio contact for the team with RCMP / EHS during a task
METHOD OF SELECTION / APPOINTMENT: Recommended by the Auto Extrication Coordinator and approved by the Operations Committee.
