TITLE: Auto Extrication Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director of SAR Operations
MEMBER OF COMMITTEES: Voting member of Operations Committee
TERM: 1 year
REQUIRED PREREQUISITES / ASSETS / SKILLS:
o Thorough knowledge of CRD policies and procedures governing the SAR Unit.
o Thorough knowledge of Federal and Provincial rules and regulation governing driving and handling of apparatus and equipment.
o Demonstrate skills in leadership, organization, training, discipline, tact, independence, judgment, and cooperation.
o Basic knowledge and skill in the operation and maintenance of all apparatus, equipment and methods used by the Auto Extrication Unit.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
o to represent the interests of the auto extrication group at the Operations Committee
o assist with the planning of the SAR Unit including training, budgeting, preparedness, communications, property and equipment, logistics.
o Prepare annual budget for auto extrication.
METHOD OF SELECTION / APPOINTMENT: Elected by SAR members and approved by the Director and the Supervisor of Services.
