TITLE: Land SAR Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director of SAR Operations
MEMBERS OF COMMITTEES: Voting member of Operations Committee
TERM: One year
REQUIRED PREREQUISITES / ASSETS / SKILLS:
o SAR member with a minimum of one year experience with CCSAR.
o Thorough knowledge of Land Search and Rescue operations, policies and procedures.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Assist with the planning of the SAR Unit including training, budgeting, preparedness, communications, property and equipment, logistics.
o Coordinate the preparation and ongoing update of a LandSAR resource book containing such items as membership list, equipment and resource of CCSAR and adjacent SAR groups.
o Prepare annual budget for LandSAR
METHOD OF SELECTION / APPOINTMENT: Elected by SAR members and approved by the Director and the Supervisor of Services.
