TITLE: Public Relations Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Operations Committee
MEMBER OF COMMITTEES: Non voting member of Operations Committee
TERM: 1 year
REQUIRED PREREQUISITES / ASSETS / SKILLS:
o General understanding of search and rescue activities.
o Good written and verbal skills.
o Enthusiastic interest in promoting Central Cariboo Search and Rescue.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Promote the activities of CCSAR in the media, within the bounds of CRD and PEP.
o Act as the liaison between CCSAR and community groups for non-emergency activities such as fund raising events, general public search and rescue awareness session (Hug-a-Tree and others), parades and community events etc.
o Maintain a scrapbook of articles, photographs etc. as a record of our activities.
METHOD OF SELECTION / APPOINTMENT: Elected by SAR members and approved by the Operations Committee.
